Paris+ par Art Basel announced today first details of its upcoming citywide public program, which will run concurrently to the fair’s second edition. Freely accessible to the public, the program comprises three exhibitions, two monumental outdoor installations, and a series of talks and debates, presented in six iconic locations across the city. They include the Jardin des Tuileries – Domaine national du Louvre, the Chapelle des Petits-Augustins des Beaux-Arts de Paris, and the Place Vendôme – all of which hosted projects in 2022 – as well as three new venues: the Palais d’Iéna, the parvis de l’Institut de France, and the Centre Pompidou, which will welcome the show’s Conversations program. Paris+ par Art Basel will therefore further expand its offering and footprint in the French capital, as well as its collaborations with local cultural institutions and the City of Paris.

- Paris+ par Art Basel will increase its presence beyond the Grand Palais Éphémère for its second edition, featuring freely accessible artworks and a Conversations program in six storied venues across the French capital
- A group exhibition realized in collaboration with the Musée du Louvre, curated by Annabelle Ténèze, presently Director of Les Abattoirs, Musée – Frac Occitanie Toulouse and incoming Director of the Louvre-Lens Museum, and titled ‘La cinquième saison’ (‘The fifth season’) will be on view in the Jardin des Tuileries – Domaine National du Louvre
- Two new venues will be added to the program: The Palais d’Iéna will host a duo exhibition by Daniel Buren and Michelangelo Pistoletto, curated by art historian Matthieu Poirier and supported by Galleria Continua; the parvis de l’Institut de France will host a monumental textile sculpture by Sheila Hicks, presented by galerie frank elbaz in collaboration with Meyer Riegger and Francesca Minini
- A multimedia installation by Jessica Warboys will be on view at the Chapelle des Petits-Augustins des Beaux-Arts de Paris, presented by Gaudel de Stampa
- A five-meter-high aluminum sculpture by Urs Fischer, titled Wave, will be exhibited on the Place Vendôme, presented by Gagosian Basel
- Curated for the second year by Pierre-Alexandre Mateos and Charles Teyssou, the show’s Conversations program will unfold at – and be presented in collaboration with – the Centre Pompidou
- Paris+ par Art Basel will take place at the Grand Palais Éphémère from Friday, October 20 to Sunday, October 22, 2023, with Preview Days on Wednesday, October 18 and Thursday, October 19, as well as a publicly accessible Vernissage on the afternoon of October 19
